Wood Shop

 Wood shop is a hands on class which allows students to build their mathematical skills and learn a valuable life skill. Students helped design and build an outdoor play set, restored classroom chairs, and created name plates for staff members.

During these projects students measured wood for cuts, investigated perimeter and area, constructed geometric shapes, and utilized problem solving skills. The students also learned about the operation, use, and care of common wood working tools, Simple Machines
