TCP French Wing
“Opening a school is closing a
prison”
Since
the world has become a planetary
village, it seems necessary to
learn more than one language. In
the United States of America,
French is taught in some high
schools and universities. Around
the world, the importance of
French as a written and spoken
language is known throughout the
(O.I.F.) Francophony
International Organization.
Learning a foreign language is
also learning a culture. Our
students will be able to benefit
from cultural diversities. We
will help them understand why
people from different cultures
think and act differently. These
differences should help nations accept each other, in order
to develop more tolerance and
respect for a better world.
The TCP
French Wing, the way we plan
to implement the French program
will help to reinforce students' skills in Reading,
Writing, Math, Science, Social
Studies etc…..Our goal is not to
have them speak and write French
ONLY, but also connect them to
other students in French
speaking countries, so they can
share experiences.
Education
is at the beginning and at the
end of the development. School
is the best place for educational
achievement throughout
instruction. Our future as a
civilized world without wars,
depends on the type of
instruction we dispense. I
believe: “The universal
civilization which is the
rendezvous of giving and
receiving from all nations
around the world will be built
by the schools.” That’s why
all governments should invest
more in schools which can
constitute a laboratory for a
peaceful world.
We
will use The Foreign Language Academy
Content Standards which provides
a set of clear, rigorous
expectations for all students as
they progress from
kindergarten through grade 12
program.
Our
students will be able to read at
least three French books.
